The Hunt For The Unknown Sticker Part 2 - The Source

Image
With Nick May of the Degree Partnership office out on an assignment, I sent him an email. “Yes, I commissioned those stickers with the help of Matt Scotton,” May later replied. If you recall from Part 1, Matt is the public information officer and external communications person for Linn-Benton. “As far as my contribution goes,” May continued, “I just wanted to have some fun/unique stickers to represent LBCC when I am tabling for DPP events. The questions I still had:  Why were they made specifically for the Degree Partnership Program? And can other LB students get their hands on some of these stickers? The Hunt For The Unknown Sticker Part 1 - The Beginnings

During an advising meeting on May 7, I noticed an Uno-style sticker on my advisor’s desk. I asked where she got them and she thought someone from the Degree Partnership Program upstairs at Linn-Benton was handing them out. He suggested the LBCC Foundation or First Resort, mind you, I already started there.  I thanked Rob for my next set of leads and I couldn’t remember where the Foundation was. Going with...

(Image Copyright Safari Town Surf Shop) If you’re a surfer on the central Oregon coast, where do you get your supplies or rentals?   Between Lincoln City and Newport, a 25-mile radius on the Oregon coast, exist an abundance of surf shops to meet the needs of regulars and one-timers alike.  However there is one shop that meets all those needs – Safari Town Surf in Lincoln City. Surfing rental availability always comes into play. A typical surf day requires a surfboard, wetsuit, hood, boots, and gloves and if applicable, a rack for the board to travel on top of your car.  Safari Town is good at having popular brands in stock, such as O’Neill, Xcel, Rip Curl, Dakine, Channel Islands.  They have any wetsuits from kids to adult sizes. However, sometimes there might be a case where their rental gear is out of stock during surfing competitions, or a busy time on the coast.  Ensuring a proper fit is also a must. Safari Town triple checks to make sure everythin...
